Compost Facilities

The Recycler is a founder and partner of the Mabwepande Compost Plant and the BioBuu Compost Plant in Dar es Salaam — together, the largest organic-waste composting operation in Tanzania. Roughly 100 tons of organic waste a day, sourced from city markets and Recycler clients, is processed into compost instead of going to landfill.

Both plants are certified Gold Standard carbon offset projects, meaning every ton of organic waste diverted is a measured, verified climate benefit.
